This list is also found on today’s ( 1/26/10) mercola.com. This list is Recipes for Success the Too Few People Know. See, reading this blog is so cutting edge.
1. Don’t chase dollars, power, or status. It seems that the more you chase those, the further away they get.
2. Decide what matters. Once you know what matters to you it is so much easier to make decisions ( see prior list).
3. Never base your choices on others approval
4. Stay authentic. Another way to say, stay true to yourself
5. Go for meaning over dollars every time. This one is better understood with age. As we age most of us come to the understanding that money really isn’t everything.
6. Be endlessly greedy, for learning! It is hard to name a successful person that was narrow minded, bigoted or stupid.
7. Make a friend of failure. The higher your aspirations, the more spectacular are the failures. But if you never give up, you never really fail.
8. Make sure that every time you make a mistake, it’s a new one. See above.
9. Choose to spend your time with the right people. No, not someone that you think makes you look good but rather someone you can learn from.
10. Drop whatever is inconsistent with these principles. Wither that b e habits or people.
